General Evangelist, the Christ Apostolic Church, Prophet Kayode Abiara, has urged political office holders, to bear in mind that their actions will speak a lot for them after their present tenure is over.
Abiara, who spoke at the CAC revival programme in Benin, Edo State, urged the President, members of the National Assembly and political office holders to serve the nation with conscience, according to a statement on Tuesday.
He said, "As for the Federal Government, I seize this opportunity to appeal to the Presidency and National Assembly to continue to serve this nation conscientiously.
"They should bear it in mind that their work will speak volume even after them."
He urged the government and all stakeholders to persist in prayers to bring peace to the country.
Abiara urged politicians and public office holders to control their utterances as these could make or mar the country.
He added that polite words and languages were most appropriate.
Abiara appealed to the people of Edo State to uphold peace during the 2015 elections, saying, "all voting age people should conduct their franchise in a dignifying manner, as politically matured people," in order to ensure peace.
