The Nigeria Youth Movement has said every investment on Nigerian youths is worth it because it will help build good future leaders.
A statement on Tuesday by one of the group's organisers, Olowe Oluwatayo, said the current leadership should, therefore, make young people its priority.
He said, "The youth are worth every investment as future leaders of this country. We challenge the current leaders to make young people their priority in order to bring out good, visionary and passionate future leaders for the betterment of our dear nation."
Oluwatayo said the group was planning an event to honour leaders in public and private sectors, who had contributed to the growth and development of youths, communities and the nation.
He said among such people are the Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Adeyemi Ikuforiji, Mr. Ibrahim Salu, Chairman, Ifako ijaiye Local Government Area, Olohuntoba Oke, and daughter of a former governor of the state, Mrs. Shade Tinubu-Ojo.
He said, "This project slated for May 5 will inspire other people to serve their communities."
