Wife of Lagos State Governor, Mrs. Abimbola Fashola, on Monday, commended a non-governmental organization, Bethesda Child Support Agency, and its partners for rehabilitating vulnerable children.
She made the statement during the agency's 12th anniversary in Lagos.
A statement by one of the NGO's partners, First City Monument Bank quoted Fashola as saying, "I appreciate the efforts of Bethesda and its partners in rehabilitating vulnerable children by providing them with education and proper upbringing. I urge other organisations to emulate these good deeds."
The Project Coordinator of the Bethesda Child Support Agency, Mrs. Nkoyo Rapu, said the success of the agency could be linked to its committed members who have joined efforts together to make the project a success.
She said, "Our success is directly linked to the support system of a vibrant, committed and active group of people who play different roles in sustaining the project.
"We are happy to see that our efforts are yielding appreciable results; transforming lives and improving the well being of our children."
Chief Executive Officer, FCMB, Mr. Ladi Balogun, reiterated the bank's renewed commitments to invest in children and youths.
