Except you have been living under a rock deep in the Afghan mountains you probably heard about the epic fail that was The Koko Concert which went down at Eko Atlantic last night/this morning (27th Dec) in the city of Lagos.
The show brainchild of D’Banj saw performances from Nigerian acts Saeon, Flowssickk, DRB Lasgisdi, Ajebutter 22, Orezi, Omo Akin, Seyi Shay, Dpzzle, Burna Boy, Shank, Dammy Krane, Lynxxx, Ice Prince, and international acts Tinie Tempah, US rappers Pusha T and Big Sean. Technically the show was hosted by British actor Idris Elba but he was so drunk/high that hosting duties fell to backup hosts Basketmouth & Bovi.
Thankfully I didn’t go for the show, but I watched the live stream online, and saw the tweets bashing the concert. Between concert goers long trek to/from the venue and D’Banj’s blatant lack of respect for his fans in non VVIP, it’s safe to say the show was a fail of epic proportions. The only good thing from what I could from where I was sitting is that it was streamed online live, therefore reaching a wider global audience.

Anyways before the show D’Banj showed G.O.O.D Music colleague Big Sean around his city of Lagos, the pair cruised in the Aston Martin Vantage Coupe D’Banj copped last year October for $200, 000
The drive could very well have been the highlight of Big Sean’s visit to Lagos, considering the man’s luggage got lost enroute Lagos and he performed to an audience who largely weren’t familiar with most of his songs.
