ABAYOMI Bada, 8, Giwa Amuludun Avenue, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, +23480560209: Mr. Rasheed Olokode's piece on the above calls for reflection. First, we should not forget we are in a democratic dispensation and there are some universal principles that should guide our activities. Are we adhering to such? No. The issue is, with the right to conduct oversight functions, that was conducted on SEC and based on their findings, the DG was indicted . Based on that, the House of Representatives along with the Senate passed a resolution that the DG must quit office. That resolution was normally passed to Mr. President to note and comply. That simply is the principle of checks and balances. That again must apply without sentiments. Here lies the beauty of democracy. Please let the President note, comply, act and let us progress on a sound note and to avoid another calamity in the capital market.
