A cold war has developed between the Plateau State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party and members of the state House of Assembly over a statement credited to the party.
Chairman of the party, Dr. Haruna Dabin, had in a radio announcement, berated some of the members for not being around to receive the 2013 budget proposal from Governor Jonah Jang.
Only nine out of the 24 members were on hand to receive the budget last week.
But taking exception to the chairman's statement, the lawmakers through the Chairman of the Information Committee, Mr. Diket Plang, said the statement was in bad taste and capable of inciting the people against the House.
