Experts have called for increased media commitment in the reportage of research activities by researchers and specialised institutes.
This, according to them, will enable the citizenry to derive maximum benefits from the statutory duties of research institutes and other experts.
The call was made on Thursday at the 2012 media briefing and training of media practitioners on the reporting of research findings organised by the Nigerian Institute of Social and Economic Research, Ibadan.
The Director-General, NISER, Olufemi Taiwo, said, "The mass media plays crucial roles in national development through dissemination of accurate and relevant information to members of the public."
