Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes has advised Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State to be diligent in service and not be carried away by a second term agenda.
The President of CCII, Chief Bayo Oyero, gave the advice on Saturday at Ajimobi's 63rd birthday lecture organised by the Chairman, Caretaker Committee, Ibadan North West Local Government, Mr. Wasiu Olatunbosun.
Oyero said, "If you do the first four years well, people would call you for a second term without your pressing for it. I advise that you put in your best in serving the citizens of Oyo State and not wait for re-election."
Also, the state Chairman of Action Congress of Nigeria, Chief Akin Oke, urged the governor to be flexible in his transformation agenda.
He said, "Let us be flexible on issues affecting the people. We need to put in a bit of flexibility. I won't say you should deceive the people."
