When exercise becomes harmful
Kathleen Doheny writing for WebMD makes reference to a new report that says people who train chronically to compete in marathons, triathlons, and other long-distance events may be hurting their heart health. Chronic extreme endurance efforts, like marathons, ultra-marathons, and long-distance triathlons, can cause cardiovascular damage over time. Healthier exercise patterns do not involve such extreme duration or intensity. In exercising to lose calories, you have to practise moderation.
