The General Officer Commanding, 2 Division, Nigerian Army, Ibadan, Oyo State Maj.-Gen. Mohammed Abubakar, has called for continued collaboration between the Army and other security agencies in addressing the country's security challenges.
Abubakar, who was represented by Col. Greg Omoreghe, on Friday at the passing out parade of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Armed Squad, Batch 'A,' said such synergy could chase away the “evil elements” in the country.
The GOC said the success of the training was a testimony to the Army's efforts in maintaining a healthy relationship with other sister security agencies.
Noting that similar trainings would soon commence in Edo and Ondo states, Abubakar, urged the inductees to remain dedicated to their duties.
He said, “With continued collaboration with sister security agencies, a lot will be achieved in addressing the national security challenges.
“I congratulate you on the zeal demonstrated in the course of the training. This ceremony is a demonstration of the success of the training. You all did well during the training.
“Remember that some of your colleagues with whom you started the training could not complete it. The quality of training you have received will enable you to cope in the task you will be performing in the near future.”
Abubakar warned them to shun indiscipline and guard against misuse of arms and accidental discharge.
