Foursquare Condemns UNIPORT Killings
Oct 13th 2012, 00:00

AHEAD of Foursquare Gospel Church golden jubilee billed to start tomorrow, Omole branch of the church has frowned at the recent killing of three students of the University of Port Harcourt.

Speaking with The Guardian in Lagos yesterday, Pastor Dayo Adewumi of the church condemned the killings, insisting that many Nigerians were misinformed.

The pastor, who called for peaceful elections in Ondo State, however, urged Nigerians to value life.

Adewumi said: "The killing boils down to the ignorant of the value of lives; Nigerians don't value lives. The value of lives is more than a naira. And if anyone takes and destroys life, it means the person don't value it.

"I ask the society to value lives, not only in Aluu community, but in the government and other spheres of our daily activities.

"Almost on daily basis, the insurrectionist group, Boko Haram, sheds blood and distracts government from fulfilling its duties to the people of Nigeria.
