Victims get more donations

MORE corporate bodies and individuals have continued to answer the clarion call to assist flood victims across the country.

Among those who have donated items are, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), construction firms, Levant and Broadline Limited, Urhobo Political Movement, Ijaw National Leader, Chief E.K Clark, Senator representing Imo West Senatorial District, Chief Hope Uzodinma,

the Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan on Inter-Party Relations, Senator Ben Ndi Obi, an Abuja-based philanthropist, Dr. Ngozi Olejeme, and chairman of the National Insurance Trust Fund, among others.

The NEMA, while donating to victims in 10 local councils of Kano State urged governments and people to be proactive to prevent natural disasters

The North-West Zonal Coordinator of NEMA, Alhaji Musa Ilallah stated this, adding that the items were given to ameliorate the sufferings of the victims. The relief materials were distributed to victims in Warawa, Tudun Wada, Doguwa, Gabsawa, Bichi, Bagwai, Dala, Gwale, Sumaila and Bebeji Councils of the state.
