The baton of the Nigerian Insurers Association chairmanship changed hands on June 28, 2012 but the official handover ceremony took place recently.
The incoming chairman, Remi Olowude, who is also the Executive Vice Chairman, Industrial and General Insurance Plc, was said to have been busy with some other statutory responsibilities, hence the delay.
The incumbent, Olusola Ladipo-Ajayi, formally handed over to him at a lavish investiture which took place at the Federal Palace Hotel and Suites, Lagos penultimate Friday. The occasion which attracted the crème of the society and notable corporate players, saw the new chairman pledging to collaborate with government and relevant organisations to promote insurance and strengthen the body to raise enviable professionals.
Some of those present at the investiture were, Gen. Yakubu Gowon (rtd); Professor Jubril Aminu; Titi Oseni; Laide Osijo; Adaobi Nwakuche etc.
