Jonathan Appoints Nnamdi Azikiwe’s Ex-ADC, Tony Anenih, 79, As Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority

Follow @9jaLife Tony Anenih joined the Nigerian Police Force in the early 50s, he was Nnamdi Azikiwe’s ADC during the 1st Republic which ended in 1966… What he’s still doing in public office is beyond me… AC President Goodluck Jonathan has approved Boards of Directors for the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety (NIMASA), and the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), with controversial Edo born-politician, Chief Tony Anenih returning as Chairman of the NPA. A Thursday night statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim announced the appointments. Government said the date for the formal inauguration of members "will be announced in due course." The appointees are: (A) Nigerian Ports Authority: i. Chief Tony Anenih – Chairman ii Chief Florence Ita Giwa – Member iii. Hon. Hamza Dan Mahawi – Member iv. Sen. Lekan Mustapha – Member v. Alhaji Aminu Baba Danagundi – - Member vi. Mr. Austin Enyonnia Cosmos – Member vii. Rep. of the Ministry of Transport – Member (B) Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety: i. Lt. Col Agbu Kefas (Rtd) – Chairman ii. Ibrahim Mark – Member iii. Alhaji Hassan Baba – Member iv. Alhaji Aliyu Usman – Member v. Rep. of Ministry of Transport – Member vi. Rep. of Ministry of Labour – Member vii.
