In its bid to consolidate its position in the market place and create a platform for consumer engagement, Dark Sailor Rum, from the stable of Grand Oak Limited, recently hosted consumers, treating them to a party, tagged, 'Dark and Daring' in Osogbo.
A statement by the company on Thursday described the party as fun-packed, with the event witnessing a good turnout. According to the statement, the consumers were entertained by Yahoo Pappy, an Oshogbo hip-hop artiste, amongst others.
The Category Manager, Grand Oak Limited Mr. Abiodun Ayodeji, was quoted in his speech at the occasion that the initiative was designed to set the brand apart from the pack, especially as regards consumer engagement''..
Earlier, the Brand Manager, Dark Sailor Rum, Mr. Tope Adenle, was quoted to have said that the party, coming on the heels of the brand's re-launch in October in Akure, Ondo State, was designed to further connect with the passion of the consumers.
“The objective of 'Dark and Daring Party' is to connect with the passion of our fun loving consumers, generate positive word of mouth for Dark Sailor Rum and to clearly establish a platform for consumer engagement,” he said.
He said the second edition of the party would hold in Lagos on December 15, 2012.
