When we announced the original pricing scheme for Nairaland Ads, we expected big advertisers like Inspired Autos, Circuit Atlantic, and SmartBuy not to have a problem with paying N10,000 per day on a permanent basis if the traffic delivered was worth it, and that's exactly what they did.
We expected smaller advertisers to advertise for about 1 - 3 days every week and to use the rest of the week to execute customer orders. While a few small advertisers, such as PristinePaintJobs and HouseArt Ltd have used this approach successfully, most small advertisers have held back.
It seems that small advertisers don't want big bursts of traffic once in a while. They'd rather have steady stream of traffic every day. We've just switched to a new pricing scheme so small advertisers can enjoy Nairaland's traffic in their preferred manner, paying less than 5k daily:
- Plan A: For 60,000 naira per week, we'll accept up to 4 ads and show one of them on every page (580,000 daily views).
- Plan B: For 32,000 naira per week, we'll accept up to 2 ads and show one of them on every other page (290,000 daily views)
- Plan C: For 17,000 naira per week, we will accept 1 ad and show it on one in four pages (145,000 daily views)
