Thanks for your article entitled, 'Protect your Idea, not just the money'. It is an eye opener.

Hi Jemilehin,
You are welcome.

Hi Ugo,
Your article entitled, 'Protect your idea, not just the money' was really enlightening, thank you. It has got me thinking on how a private school proprietor can protect an idea when what schools do is just copy one another.
Do have a nice day and share your thoughts, if any, about what I raised.
— Tokunbo
Hi Tokunbo,
Thanks for your kind word. You can protect whatever idea you have provided it hasn't been used before. Have a chat with a lawyer for more insight.
Kind regards.

Where do I go to for the copyright? Whom do I see in that respect?
—Akingbade A.
You would have to go to the Copyright Commission. I think they have an office in Lagos too.
A lawyer is best positioned to help you. If you don't have one, then I can recommend one for you.

Hello Ugodre,
I like your piece on intellectual property protection in The PUNCH.
I have been a victim of such intellectual property robbery in the past because of ignorance.
I am about to launch a portal that will help financial institutions optimise their operations and help manage volumes of data. It will be my pleasure if you could recommend any patent lawyer – whose fees are affordable and who also maintains a retainership arrangement – that could advise me with regards to patenting.
I will appreciate if you could expedite your response before I get my fingers burnt again.
—Kola I.
Hi Kola,
Thanks for your kind words and sorry for your past experience.
I have a few I could recommend. However, give me a few days to make a list for you.
Any idea what your budget is?
Regards.

Good day Mr. Ugodre Obi-Chukwu,
I read your article on career choices in The PUNCH and I was quite impressed by it. I must say I've gained quite a lot from it. Please, I need your advice. I studied economics education at the University of Lagos and I just passed out of the National Youth Service Corps. I want to go abroad for my postgraduate studies preferably to Canada, to study Project Management. What do you think of it as a career choice and what employment opportunities are in the field? Thank you.
—E. Osa
Hi Osa,
Thanks for the compliment and I am glad you gained a lot from my article. A career in Project Management is very good particularly in a country like Nigeria with a huge need for infrastructural development. Employment opportunities abound not just in Nigeria but in nearly every country in the world.
However, I will advice you go further for a Master's and major in a specific field of project management to give you a better competitive edge. You should also consider taking professional examinations within your chosen field to broaden your knowledge base making you a full professional. This ensures that you can eventually branch out on your own should the need arise.
Cheers and hope I helped.
