Apr 11th 2013, 23:50

This week, two officials of the US Trade and Development Agency have been meeting in Lagos with business leaders to assess funding and capacity needs.
Paul Alvaro Marin, Regional Director for sub-Saharan Africa, and Lisa Bonnikson, Country Manager for West Africa have been meeting with Nigerian businesses and organisations that may benefit from USTDA grant funding for project preparation work in the following sectors: energy, telecommunications, and transportation.
USTDA is a US government agency that supports commercially- oriented infrastructure development through grant funding, specifically for project planning assistance such as feasibility studies.  Typically, it supports large infrastructure projects.
USTDA is currently working with private sector Nigerian firms such as Oando Gas and Power and LADOL on their infrastructure needs.
