Though tough and rugged is a traditional sign of masculinity, there are secrets to being a desirable man. Practising good hygiene improves your self-esteem and makes you more attractive. Apart from that, there are other tricks:
• Bathe properly with a nice body wash. You can use an anti-bacterial soap (if your job entails a lot of physical activity or if you are the type that sweats excessively.) Do so at least twice a day to prevent odour-inducing sweat and bacteria to accumulate on the skin. Loofah sponges remove dead skin and the bacteria it contains.
• Please shave! Leaving the hair in your armpit or pubic region traps odour-inducing bacteria, making it difficult to eliminate smells. So shave regularly or trim down.
• Make deodorant your twin half. This is important.
• Use body powder. Powder eliminates moisture, which can make you smell bad. Moisture is most common around the genital area.
• Stinky feet? Get foot powder. It is an important part of any grooming kit. Also, change your socks daily. Avoid putting on your shoes repeatedly day after day. Alternate them and always put them out to air after each use.
• Brush your teeth and tongue at least twice daily. Use mouthwash and make sure you floss, too.
• Sexy men's cologne equals sexy men. Avoid noxious smelling or those with over-powering scents.
Bad breath puts off!
Bad breath puts off anybody including ladies. Here are steps to having fresher breath:
Get a scraper
• Bad breath is a result of plaque that accumulates in the tongue's folds, particularly towards the back. Use a tongue scraper twice daily.
• Rinse with mouthwash
Gargle once a day with a solution containing zinc chloride.
• Keep your mouth moisturised
A dry mouth smells. That is why one's breath is worse in the morning – the mouth produces less saliva during sleep. Saliva is the enemy of bad breath because not only does it physically wash bacteria and food particles away, it is also has enzymes that kill bacteria.
Chewing gum stimulates saliva production (in addition to covering up the odour with some kind of scent). Mind you, mints do not encourage saliva production.
Drink water
It won't necessarily increase saliva production, but it will wash out your mouth and it's good for you.
• Eat a banana
Don't forget to avoid food like onions, garlic, cheese, and coffee (or at least brush your teeth after eating them). If you are on any diet that forces you to burn fat instead of carbohydrates, eat healthy snacks like apples or bananas. If after doing all these and you still experiencing bad breath, then, see a dentist.
