I seem to agree with the Senate President, David Mark's proposal of death penalty for the oil thieves and pipeline vandals. I see the perpetrators as economic saboteurs, and should be dealt with heavily to serve as a deterrent to others. I will also want the Senate President to include in the bill, the same penalty for corrupt public officers and money launderers. Plea bargain should also be cancelled from our judicial system. For the Senate President sponsoring this bill, there should not be any opposition or delay for its passage. With this, other nations will see that Nigeria is very ready to fight corruption in all sincerity. We are waiting for the bill.
