Kobe Bryant's participation in the remainder of LA Lakers' season came into big question last weekend when he suffered a torn Achilles tendon injury. Kobe sustained the injury while playing against the Golden State Warriors.
The Lakers defeated the Warriors with Kobe playing mostly with an injury.
When he couldn't push himself any more he had to be taken out for medical treatment. With Kobe likely out for the remaining of the season, it is unsure how far the LA Lakers will go in the playoffs without its leader. Kobe said the players must ‘just continue to play. We've been dealing with injuries all year. I'll do what I can, watching film and preparing.’
When asked if his career was over he replied ‘are you kidding?’
In an earlier interview Kobe had said his body can still handle 5 more seasons…
