President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday evening met behind closed doors with his Ghanaian counterpart, Dr. John Mahama.
The talk was held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
According to a report monitored on the Nigerian Television Authority, the two leaders at the brief parley discussed security situations in their countries, the sub region and on the continent.
They were also said to have discussed other bilateral matters beneficial to the two countries.
Jonathan was joined to receive the visiting President by some members of the Federal Executive Council and other presidential aides.
Mahama was in Nigeria to deliver the second annual lecture of the Ekiti State University entitled "University Governance and Reclaiming the lost Glory: The Challenges and Possibilities of World-class Universities in Africa" in commemoration of the institution's 18th convocation.
