A 42-year-old man, Mr. Tairu Hammed, has told an Orile Agege Customary Court, Lagos, that he caught his wife, Fatimo Hammed, pants down with one of his co-tenants.
Tairu, who was dragged before the court by his wife for being wayward, said he was shocked to see his wife's slippers by the door of his co-tenant when he returned home around midnight.
"I went mad immediately I discovered that my co-tenant was having sex with my wife, and that led to her exit from my home".
Fatimo, on her own, said her husband had sex with her friend, Munirat, adding that when she could no longer cope with what happened, she moved out of the matrimonial home.
She claimed that her husband had denied her of access to her children since she moved out of his house four years ago.
The mother of five claimed that Tairu did not tell her that he was already married.
She added that she got to know of Tairu's previous marriage shortly after the husband rented an apartment for her to live with her five children.
The 37-year-old woman, who claimed to have met Tairu in 1993 and they became husband and wife three years after, also said that despite the fact that their union is blessed with five children, Tairu did not pay her bride price.
"Tairu is wayward. He goes crazy for anything in skirt|".
She urged the court to dissolve the marriage and grant her custody of the children.
Meanwhile, the court president, Mr. J.O. Adewusi, adjourned the case for further hearing.
