Accion Microfinance Bank (AMfB) has emerged winner of the 2012 Lagos State Enterprise Award (LEAD) for Best Microfinance Bank of the year, even for the second year running.

The selection made after a survey was conducted by an industry research group for LEAD awards, was based on excellent performance and good understanding of micro lending in the sector.

Managing Director of the bank, Ms. Bunmi Lawson who expressed delight on the award said that the award came as a testament to the strength of the Bank's continued viability, assuring customers of a brighter future while providing the quality of service deserved.

However, AMfB with staff strength of over 350 staff spread across 16 fourteen branches and the Head Office, accounts for a total asset worth N2.4 billion in excess, gross loan portfolio of over N1.7 billion and disbursed loans well over N14 billion to over 85,000 customers since inception.
