Saturday November 3, 2012, would forever remain a day to be remembered for by Nwagbo Chimezien, a graduate of statistics of the Imo State University, as she emerged winner of the coveted Face of Edo Beauty Pageant.
She emerged winner at the grand finale of the 2012 Face of Edo Pageant held at the Prestigious Excalibur Hotel, Benin City.
Chimezien, 22, represented Imo State.
Presenting the new Miss Face of Edo with her cash prize of more than a million naira and brand new Hyundai car, the president of Eerik Entertainment, Prince Eerik A. Odigie, said: "Face of Edo beauty pageant is becoming bigger and bigger every year but the 2012 edition was a class of excellence and talk of the town as long as you live and work in Edo State".
Two other beauty queens of Edo State are Miss Ikpae Yigakpoa who represented Rivers State and won the Most Beautiful Girl 2012 in Edo State with an all expenses paid trip abroad and cash prizes worth millions while Miss Oboh Oseyande who represented Ogun State won the Queen Tourism 2012 in Edo State and also won cash prize of upto a million. There was also an award of Miss Hospitality and Talent too. Prizes were given to seven contestant who reached the last ten.
