Curbing exam malpractice
Mar 24th 2013, 23:00

Some weeks ago, I was watching the news on television and a particular group was talking about tackling exam malpractice. Curiously, none of the speakers on that occasion spoke about the immense role of teachers in the entire mix. It must be pointed out that teachers are the very hub of the learning and education process. Exam malpractice is on the increase in Nigeria today because teachers are treated with derision. If the powers that be start remunerating teachers like oil company workers and banking officials, exam malpractices will be reduced drastically. This is because they'll have enough to train continuously and have better esteem. Let's pay more attention to our teachers.
