Osas Ighodaro |
On Sunday 27th October 2013, Actress and former Miss Black USA Queen, Osas Ighodaro launched her much anticipated project, the Joyful Joy foundation.
The event took place at Avenue Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos. Joyful Joy is named in honor of Joy Ighodaro, sister of Osas, who contracted malaria while pregnant, on a short visit to Nigeria. The disease killed her and her unborn child. The impact of this loss and the need to educate gave birth to The Joyful Joy Foundation.
The Joyful Joy Foundation represents a passion to end hunger, preventable disease and promote sustainable growth and development for communities living under the poverty line in Africa. It is a celebration of life and a reminder to us all to do our best in supporting those who are in need.
In attendance were Nollywood stars Gideon Okeke, Gbenro Ajibade, R&B artiste Banky W, JJC among others. There were also live performances from JJC, Seyi Shaw and other musical bands.
Osas looked totally glam and elegant and was pleased to have her guests around.
