Igbozurume sues for truce ahead 2015 election

THE leadership of Igbozurume Association, a new socio/non political umbrella body of all Igbo speaking nation have stressed the need for love, understanding and concern for one another in the task of building a formidable and united brotherhood for a common goal.

A community leader and national President of the group, General Joseph O. G Achuzia (rtd) made the assertion at conference  held in Asaba and hosted by the Delta State chapter of the body. Brig-Gen Achuzia remarked that it was compulsory for good tidings amongst all Igbo ethnic nation so as to be able to dialogue and take firm position in the realization of an Igbo President upon the expiration of the tenure of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.

Achuzia who was recently bestowed with the award of the "Peoples Army General by Igbo youths in Enugu State to replace the late Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu who held the position while alive, enjoined the various branches of Igbozurume drawn from all the senatorial zones of the country and in diaspora, to avail themselves of the opportunities of the various socio-cultural activities of the state and work for the set objectives of the group – realising its dream of  an Igbo President in 2015.

Earlier, the South-South Coordinator, Chief Charles Okechukwu in his opening remarks expressed appreciation to members especially those from northern states. Chief Okechukwu assured that the formation of Igbozurume will no doubt further strengthen the cordial existing relationship between the Igbos of the across the Niger and those of Delta/Western parts of the country.
