| Kolapo and Foluke | Happiness they say, is being married to your best friend. Not many people can boast of that, But the Story of Kolapo (He Paid my share of the dowry) and Lovely Foluke resonates this apt saying, The Duo are set for the blessing of the alter and what a happy day this is for me. Help to wish them a Happy union as we prepare for the Blessing in November. Read as they tell their stories in their own words
Kolapo is the fourth out of five children to Mr & Mrs Samuel Arogundade.
He was born in Lagos, attended Lagos state model college Kankon and then LASU where he studied Chemistry. Also did his NYSC in lagos ( the Boy needs to leave Lagos ) He proceeded to further his studies in Information systems in University of Surrey He loves God, loves playing games on his PS3, Loves going to the movies, crazy about gadgets........ Kolapo's story I always knew her through her younger sister because i was her younger sister's school father and usually see her in church once in a while. So April 2002 ASUU was on strike and she came home and i decided to get to know her. I called her everyday introduced myself and we became friends. ASUU was on strike for 6 months so we had a very long time to get to know each other. Our friendship grew and we became very fond of each other. We have had our rough times but love has made us overcome. She is my best friend, my confidant and the Love of my life, ……….. Foluke's story I remember seeing a handsome guy (wink) in church April 2002 and saying to myself hmmm not bad and looked away. The next day i receive a call on the landline and a guy was on the other side saying oh how he knows me and wants to be my friend and i was like who is this joker.lol. but the call kept coming every 30 mins for that day and i asked what are you up to and he replied i'm getting to know you and it went on for the whole week, i also remember on Saturday he called and said see you tomorrow and i was like what "the stalker is in my church". So i get to church nervous wondering who it could be and after service someone walks up to me and said hi its me that has been calling and to my surprise it was the same handsome guy i had spotted a week before. So i just felt it was meant to be. Since then its been a rollercoaster, we remained very good friends till we knew we wanted to be with each other in 2005, we made it work despite schooling in two different states we broke it off for a year in 2007 came back in 2008 and haven't looked back since then. We have many downs and ups but despite all our love held us together. He is my best friend, my sweetheart i wouldn't have chosen anyone else even if i had to do it again. He has been with me through thick and thin and i love him more as every day goes by. He spoils me alot and makes sure i have everything i want and need. I really do love you boo and i cant wait to spend the rest of my life with you. More........... We regularly go out for meals and so on May 17 2011, we planned to go to Frankie and Bennie's and i thought it was one of our regular outings, so on getting there we sit down and begin to look through the menu and I needed to go to the ladies before the meal was ready. On getting back to my seat I lift my menu again and then I spot a box beside it and I asked him what is this please and he is like open it, at that point my hands begin to shake and next thing he passes me a tissue paper and on it he wrote 'would you marry me' (very unromantic I know). I couldn't utter a word and throughout the meal we ate in silence lol. So after eating he said you haven't replied but I was still shocked and quite, anyway sha somehow I got the courage to say yes and that was the beginning of another chapter in our lives and greater things to come.
