Abdul Rasheed Bello a.k.a JJCSkillz, the award winning artiste, director, and editor, will be filming a flash mob dance video of his new single ‘African Skank’ this Sunday, 30th September 2012.
The new single by JJCSkillz, who is the creator of the JJC & the 419 squad, Big Brovas and the ‘Afropean’ sound (a blend of Yoruba Language mixed with English), is currently enjoying airplay on various radio stations across the country.
The video would be shot on Catholic Mission Street, Lagos Island.
Some of the celebrities confirmed for the flash mob dance video (a concept which has never been done before in Nigeria) are Alibaba, Kate Henshaw, Goldie, Denrele, Kayode Peters (Capital FM), Omalicha(Rhythms OAP), DJ Sose, Gbenro Ajibade(Tinsel) and many others.
African Skank is a sound aptly termed electro-Afrobeat, which is an eclectic blend of Afro Rhythm, techno, dirty Dutch and pop beats all tuned to popular African dances like the Azonto, Etigi, and Alanta.
