Uhmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I guess all it says is you can go to jail for 2 years, if you want, or pay N250,000 and go home free. What happens to the N2billion pension money stolen? What happens to the pensioners - they can die in their penury. This is justice?
An Abuja High Court, on Monday sentenced a former head of the Police Pension Board, Mr Yakubu Yusuf, to two years in prison after he pleaded guilty to embezzling N2billion of police pension fund. Mr Yusuf was given an option of N250 thousand to avoid the jail sentence. He was also asked to forfeit property valued at N325 million. The former assistant director in the federal civil service was one of the six people tried for stealing N32.8 billion of police pension fund.
