Porto ace Emmanuel Mbola has joined up with the Zambia squad just as England-based striker Emmanuel Mayuka is billed to arrive on January 9.
The 19-year-old left-back arrived Zambia Johannesburg training camp early on Monday morning from his base in Portugal.
His arrival adds quality to the team as they prepare to face Nigeria, Burkina Faso and Ethiopia in the Group C of the Nations Cup in South Africa. Mbola's arrival brings to 24 players in the Zambian camp.
That means coach Herve Renard now awaits just two Europe-based stars, Jacob Mulenga and Emmanuel Mayuka, to complete his 26-member provisional squad.
Zambia team manager Lusekelo Kamwambi told MTNFootball.com from Johannesburg that Jacob Mulenga was due in over the weekend.
The striker from Dutch side FC Utrecht is expected to join the team on January 6, while Southampton striker Mayuka will be the last player to join the team on January 9.
