Follow @9jaLife On January 8, 2013, it was reported that top music producer Don Jazzy had been accused of ordering thugs to beat up club manager Princewill Ifeanyi Ojukwu on December 21, 2012. Ojukwu, former manager of Auto Lounge Night club according to a report by entertainment reporter Stella Dimoko Korkus, says Don Jazzy asked 'his thugs' to 'take his life' after he and the music producer exchanged words at his (Don Jazzy's) night club, POP, located at 42 Saka Tinubu road, Victoria Island, Lagos. He further stated that he was brutally beaten and stripped naked under the supervision of Don Jazzy and he suffered blunt force trauma to the eye, face and body forcing him to be admitted into a hospital. Ojukwu alleged that a week after the incident, Don Jazzy sent him a text apologizing for the beat down and offered to pay for his hospital fees. He however refused the offer. 'It's not about the money. This could happen to anyone, it is abuse of power and needs to be checked before someone is killed all in the name of the other being a celebrity. Don Jazzy stood there pinging on his blackberry as his thugs beat me up, that is the last thing I remember before I fainted', Ojukwu explains. But a rep for Don Jazzy has told Nigerian Entertainment Today the story isn't entirely true, insisting that the producer and record label boss did not instruct anyone to beat anybody up. 'Don Jazzy didn't order anybody to beat anybody up. 'These accusations are absolutely false', a rep for Mavin Records told NET in a telephone conversation. The rep however didn't go into details, saying the matter is now being investigated by the Police. Princewill Ojukwu has already filed a petition against Don Jazzy, to the Inspector General of Police in a letter dated Decmeber 28, 2012. The petition against Don Jazzy is for 'attempted murder, stealing, unlawful destruction of property and assaulting occasioning grievous bodily harm. Source Follow @9jaLife
