One person has been confirmed dead after a container slipped off a trailer and landed on a car on Oworonsoki Expressway in Lagos on Friday evening.
The container fell off the truck as it was descending a bridge connecting the Gbagada section of Oworonsoki Expressway to the inward Ojota section, crushing the driver of the car to death instantly.
Deputy Corps Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Commission, Mr. Bisi Kazeem, confirmed the development on the telephone to PUNCH.
Such incidents have become regular in Lagos as many trucks carry loose containers on busy roads in the metropolis, exposing other road users to danger.
