The Nigerian Air Force on Friday released the promotion of 129 senior officers.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Air Force Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Yusuf Anas.
The statement said that 14 of the officers were promoted to the rank of Air Vice Marshals, 32 to Air Commodores, 37 to Group Captains and 46 to Wing Commanders.
It listed those promoted to the ranks of AVM as Mike Iloenyosi, Frank Nyoyoko, Tee Danbaki, Salihu Bala-Ribah, Andy Tsakr, Tony Omenyi and Bashiru Saidu.
Others are Peter Abel, Muktar Magaji, Olutayo Oguntoyinbo, Abiodun Idowu, Haruna Mohammed, Adebowale Odunlade and Unaji Oche, who were promoted to the rank of AVM.
Similarly, the statement listed those promoted to the rank of Air Commodore as T.E. Opuiyo, B. Garba, E.O. Ohanele, P.N. Dimfwina, O.R. Philips, E.O. Alade, O.J. Osahor, M.A. Idris and N.O. Oyibo.
It listed those promoted to the rank of Commodore as R.E. Adediji, H.U. Mohammed, C.A. Ogbeche, C.I. Oghomwen, S.S. Okwuokei, S.G. Jeff-Zanni, C.T. DII, A.A. Onitiju, C.N. Udeagulu and A.O. Kolofo.
According to the statement A.M. Sadique, Y.D. Daniel, H.C. Okpala, I. Amin, M.G. Abdul-Wahab, S.N. Kudu, A.C. Onyemuwa, B.C. Ugwueke, J.M.D. Gwani, M.E. Ahmed, A.J.A. Adagboyi, M.O. Ugwuezumba and I. Bukar, were elevated to the rank of commodores.
It also said that N.I. Ilo, N.N. Ananaba, P.B. Philips, F.O. Edosa, A.G. Ochai, A.B. Braimoh, P.N. Amadi, A.Y. Dari, A.G. Kehinde and E.O. Browe, were promoted to the rank of Group Captain.
Others are P.O. Obeya, O.R. Abidoye, A.O. Shogbanmu, M.N. Onyebashi, A.K. Ademuwagun, U.K. Abdullahi, D.D. Pwajok, E.E. Effiom, A.A. Shinkafi, I. Sani, A.V. Ndace, A.H. Bakari, O. S. Ogunsina.
A.A. Adebomehim, A.Y. Abdullahi, U.N. Akpan, L.M. Danzangi, H.I. Alhaji, I.V. Ajiboye, F.J. Ogohi, B.R. Mamman, M.A. Suleman, A. Makun, J.I. Ukeh, A. Bot, R.C. Nwankwo, G.N. Udo and P.I. Irumheson were also promoted to the rank of Group Captains.
