Yaaaay! The wait is over. Barcelona's Lionel Messi and his girlfriend, Antonella have finally welcomed their baby boy, Thiago.
Few hours ago, the three-time Ballon d'Or winner was reportedly absent from training to stay with his wife at the hospital. The news was announced via one of Barcelona's twitter acc, @barca stuff.
" Lionel Messi's son Thiago has been born. Barcelona confirm that Messi's girlfriend Antonella has given birth to the couple's son Thiago this Friday afternoon."
The latest dad in the world thanked his fans, colleagues and family for their support. "Thanks to my family for the support! A hug to everyone. "Today I am the happiest man in the world, my son was born and thanks to God for this gift!"
