A 20-year-old houseboy, Obong Thompson, has been dragged before a family court in Lagos Island by the Michael Dopemu family for having carnal knowledge of there 6-year-old daughter.
The boy was reported to have raped the young girl while her parents were at work. The parents said they noticed the unusual mood of their daughter and later discovered blood on her private part which set off an alarm.
Thompson was immediately handed over to the police at Bode Thomas divisional headquarters where the case was investigated.
In his confessional statement, Thompson allegedly wrote, “When both of us were at home alone, I saw her body naked. I was charged and emotionally carried away.”
He has been remanded in prison custody at Kirikiri, Apapa.
