Deeply shocking footage of a woman smiling and dancing close to dead bodies at the scene of a fatal car crash has appeared on Russian television. The young woman was a passenger in a Subaru vehicle that apparently caused the crash after speeding on a highway in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
The car struck a parked Niva jeep on the hard shoulder, causing it to turn over onto its roof, with its driver and his wife, killed instantly.
All four people in the Subaru were uninjured and did not need medical help.
Evidently already drunk, as the emergency services pulled the bodies from the wreckage, they swigged beer at the scene of the horrific crash.
The young women then danced for the cameras from a TV programme called 'Emergency Call' which had accompanied police to the scene.
She gyrated for the television crew saying in mocking tones: 'What can I do for you? How shall I pose? Shall I stand like this? Or maybe like this? What I shall do next? Are you really interested?'
In the footage, the covered bodies of the dead couple were shown on the highway behind her as the woman dances.
TV correspondent Artem Filippov said: 'The policemen are doing their best to be polite but they are obviously full of anger and dream about teaching this drunk... a good lesson.'
The male driver repeatedly swore as he drunkenly blamed the dead people for the crash.
Igor Mikhailushkin, a spokesman for Nizhny Novgorod road police, said: 'Moving at high speed, the Subaru car hit the Niva jeep which then overturned. As a result two people in the Niva were killed'.
The dancing woman was not named but was questioned by police. The driver of the Subaru was detained by police under suspicion of dangerous driving.
He was driven away from the scene in a road police vehicle.
The footage has been widely viewed in the Russian web, with people expressing 'disgust' and 'total shock' at the alleged careless driving and the woman's 'crass insensitivity as danced like a drunk moron'. VIDEO:
