Over N4.5m will be shared in prize monies at the finals of the 2013 Federations Cup billed for Lagos on Sunday, September 15, futaa.com has reliably gathered.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)'s Director of Competitions, Mohammed Sanusi lifted the lid on the prizes available in a chat with news men in Abuja.
According to him, the winner of the men's final will get N2m aside the giant trophy also donated by the Lagos State government.
The men's runners-up will get N1m for their efforts while for the women, the champions will get N1m and the runners-up half of that.
Sanusi also hinted that there will be cash prizes for outstanding individuals; like highest goal scorer, most valuable player amongst other categories that will also be rewarded.
Enyimba and Warri Wolves are through to the men finals.
For the women, Nasarawa Amazons and River Angels are in the finals. Angels are hoping to complete a hat-trick of wins having won the last two editions.
