Portugal-based defender Elderson Echiejile insists the Super Eagles are focused on Wednesday's Group F World Cup qualifying encounter against the Brave Warriors of Namibia despite the celebrations over of this week's 1-0 defeat of Kenya in Nairobi.
A win for the Eagles, who have eight points from four matches, in Windhoek will guarantee them the single ticket to the final round of Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifiers, providing Malawi, who have six points to place second in the group, are beaten by Kenya in the other group match in Blantyre on Wednesday.
Echiejile wrote on his Twitter page, "Great 3 point thanks to the naija (Nigerian) supporters that came out u guys were great! Next on our mind is Namibia game."
Victor Moses, who missed the encounter due to injury, hailed his teammates for beating Kenya at home.
"(I) watched the boys win 1-0. Great win come on #nigeria," the Chelsea forward wrote on his Twitter page.
Meanwhile, coach Stephen Keshi says he is targeting victory in Namibia, promising that the team will not disappoint.
He said, "Our focus is now on the match against Namibia in Windhoek. We have to pick up maximum points from that match to make sure of our progress in the race, even ahead of the last matches in the group."
