The Management of Tinapa Business Resort Calabar says the resort is currently witnessing high volume of trade and investment.

The Managing Director of the resort, Mr. Bassey Ndem, said this on Thursday at an interactive session with the State Working Committee of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Cross River Council.

Ndem said the TINAPA Lakeside Hotel was adjudged as the best in the city by tourists and other Independent assessors who have made use of the facilities in recent time.

"We are witnessing very fast improvement in the resort. The TINAPA lakeside hotel has been adjudged as the best in Calabar by tourists and independent sources," he said.

According to him, such commendations put more pressure on the management to maintain the momentum, adding that, that was also worth celebrating.

The managing director said that the Water Park section of the resort was now a bee-hive of activities with people from all works of life fully availing themselves of the service to enjoy their leisure time at the park.

"People come from as far as Lagos and oversee to have nice times in the park and we are working hard to make it one of the best in the World. We are improving facilities in the park and by the time we finished, it will be world class," he said.

He also said that, the park was presently being maintained by local Engineers, adding that, the engineers were doing wonderfully well even better than when foreign expatriates were in-charge of the park.

Ndem said that TINAPA had fairly well built facilities that can last for over 200 years, adding that trade and leisure will continue to thrive in the facility for several years to come.

He said that the resort had enjoyed a healthy and interactive relationship with the media and congratulated the new leadership of NUJ in the state for their successful inauguration.

Speaking, the State Chairman of NUJ, Mr. Ndoma Akpet, promised to maintain the cordial relationship existing between TINAPA management and the media in the state.
