Ondo state governor Olusegun Mimiko has promised the people of Ondo state that he will continue to work for the citizens of the state, while he encouraged oppositions to join the cause of making the state better for everyone's benefit.
The governor stated this, while addressing indigenes of the state at the Democracy Park in Akure, the state capital.He also expressed his gratitude to the Chief Justice of the Federation and the Justices that handled the case for their commitment to duty and upholding justice.
Before the arrival of governor Mimiko from the FCT where the judgement was delivered, the deputy governor of Ondo state, Alhaji Ali Olanusi thanked the people of the State for their, and advised the opposition to learn how to accept defeat, after learning of their victory.

The seven-man panel of judges nullified the appeals filed by the defunct ACN candidate, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu and his PDP counterpart, Mr Olusola Oke against the re-election of Mimiko as Governor in October 2012 for lack of merit.
