President of Nigeria Wrestling Federation, Prince Hammed Olarenwaju Mohammed, has appealed to government agencies and corporate organisations to emulate Nigerian Army and partner with the federation to develop professional wrestling in the country.
Mohammed, who made this call in Lagos during a wrestling championship on Sunday, said the Army had demonstrated interest in the uplifting of Nigerian wrestling.
"We intend to organise this type of event regularly to reposition wrestling in the country," he said. Meanwhile, Nigerian Army wrestling sensation, Kingstone, proved book makers right when he defeated highly rated Atom Ant Ozegbe in the championship tagged "Clash of the Titans".
The championship aimed to prepare Kingstone for a shot at the world title during the forthcoming BRF Wrestlmania saw the Army officer display good tactics which earned him a pin fall to the admiration of fans.
In other fights of the day, wrestling debutant, Mosendo, proved too good for more experienced Silent Tiger which earned him a draw in his first professional fight while the fight between Mr. Sharp Man and Young Mike also ended in a draw as the duo of Strong Bone Erujeje and Zion Lion took Delta Warrior and Flying Danko to the cleaners in a one-sided tag team fight
