Magazine covers are going beyond being drab, flat and monotonous to glam, edgy, creative and sassy.

The latest cover for Vanity Fair magazine features Kerry Washington in a pool from her bust downwards. VF magazine tags Kerry "the most intriguing star on the most intriguing show". Washington looks hot in a white swimming suit with slicked back hair and matt red lips.
Do you think creative photo-shoots like this are alright for the front cover, or they should be left for the inside pages?
