Veteran sport journalist Ayo Ositelu to be buried

The funeral arrangement of the late veteran sport journalist Ayo Ositelu has been released by the family.

According to David Ositelu, who is the younger brother of the late journalist,  a service of songs will hold at the Church of the Lord, Aladura, Sabo, Yaba, Lagos on Monday, January 28, 2013

On Tuesday, January 29, another service of songs will be held for him at the Ejigbo Mini Stadium.

Wednesday, January 30 will be another service of songs at the Sir (Chief) Molade Okoya-Thomas Sports Hall, Teslim Balgun Stadium organised by the Lagos State Sports Endowment Fund. This will be followed by another service of songs at 10, Aina Street, Ojota, Lagos.

These events will be held between 4pm-6pm.

There will be a brief lying-in-state at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on Friday, February 1, 2013 after his remains leaves the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi Araba, before departing for Ogere Remo in Ogun State where a Christian wake will be held at the Ositelu Memorial College between 4pm-6pm.

Burial will take place on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Oluwaseyi Compound (Ositelu's House) in Ogere, Remo, Ogun State.

The Arena‘ as the seasoned journalist and politician was sometimes called by his colleagues died on Wednesday, January 7, 2013 while watching TV with his wife at the age of 67.

He was the first Executive Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area.
