Jan 21st 2013, 03:02

Follow @9jaLife The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has worked out plans to enroll Nigerians living abroad in its new identity management project. The Director-General of the commission, Mr Chris Onyemenam, made this known in Abuja on Sunday at the forum of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). “Our plan to enable us to take care of their biometrics is that we would establish our locations across the world to enable us to capture their biometrics and that will be very easy to do. “Nigerians in the Diaspora can enroll by going to an enrolment centre, their demographics will be captured and their biometrics will also be captured. “Enrolment entails two things: your demographics will be captured as your bio-data, and then your biometrics which is the head-shot, the finger prints, and also the signature, would be captured. ' ' Onyemenam said that the commission had also arranged on its portal, a pre-enrolment centre for Nigerians irrespective of their locations. He gave the address of the website for accessing the enrolment form as www.nimpnrol.gov.ng. Source Follow @9jaLife
