Former Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Professor Maurice Iwu and two others have been appointed to the Board of Directors of Neimeth International Pharmaceuticals.
The two others appointed alongside Prof. Maurice are; Pharm. Sir. Ike Onyechi, and Mr. Thomas Tunbosun Osobu.

The new directors, according to a statement by the company, are seasoned professionals with commendable years of experience and dynamic achievements in their various fields, adding that the Neimeth's Board is made up of diverse professionals who are opinion leaders in their areas of specialisation.
Prof. Maurice Nkemakolam Iwu was trained at the University of Bradford, Bradford, England. He is the President of Bioresources Institute of Nigeria and was Professor of Pharmacognosy at the University of Nigeria Nsukka (1984-1993). He is the Chairman of many companies including The International Centre for Ethnomedicine and Drug Development (InterCEDD).
He has received many academic and professional honours among which are the World Health Organisation (WHO) Visiting Scholar to the Dyson Perrins Laboratory, University of Oxford (1980), Fulbright Senior Scholar Award (Ohio State University, Columbus Ohio.
He was the former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission/Chief Electoral Officer of Nigeria (2005 -2010), where he introduced the electronic voter registration regime, established the Electoral Institute. He is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School.
Iwu consults on technological management and the establishment of strategic alliances and multinational cooperative research and development projects for international agencies.
