These are the pictures of some of the victims of the St. John’s Catholic Cathedral in the Batyan Gari Area of Bauchi, Bauchi State. Six people were reported dead in the suicide attack but many victims sustained varying levels of injury.
"When the suicide bomber targeted the church, he was prevented by the measures put in place. Instead he detonated his explosives in the parking lot killing one person, and among the injured victims taken to the hospital a boy between the ages of six to eight died while receiving treatment," a policeman said.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack but it carries the notorious imprint of the dreaded Boko Haram Islamic sect.
