Since the news went viral over the weekend that the husband of popular Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Captain Matthew Ekeindewas fired from Air Nigeria, there have been claims and counter claims about the issue.
The talented actress responded via a tweet, demanding that the people peddling the "rumors" present her husband's sack letter to buttress their claims.
But Yemoja News is still standing by their claims, and even went further to say that Captain Ekeinde was indeed part of the 800 staff of Air Nigeria that were laid off via a press release by the owner of the company, Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim.
"Jimoh Ibrahim sacked the 800 staffers on the pages of newspapers. That was the same thing he did with Newswatch Newspapers when he shut the company down. He only issued out a Press Release. But we are not going to take that nonsense from him at Air Nigeria. If he wants to lay us off, he must do it accordingly and pay the money he owes", an aggrieved staff of the troubled airline told yemojanews.com.
According to the report, the only pilots left in the employment of Air Nigeria are the Director of flights operations and Chief Pilot.
A peep at Captain Ekeinde's Facebook page confirmed the fact that he used to work with Air Nigeria uptill the time Hurricane Jimoh Ibrahim happened.
