Ekiti postpones resumption date for public schools

The Ekiti State government has postponed the date for resumption of public schools in the state due to ongoing renovation of schools across the state. The schools will now re-open on October 2, 2012 for the 2012/2013 academic session.

A statement from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology directed parents and teachers to ensure compliance.

It assured that the ongoing renovation of all schools buildings would be completed before the new resumption date, even as it reiterated government's commitment to a conducive learning environment.

Meanwhile interview for candidates that were successful in the common entrance and placement examinations into secondary schools will hold on September 15, 2012.

the statement advised candidates that sat for the entrance examination are to check their results at their respective schools of first choice.

It also directed all successful candidates to report to the schools of their first choice for the interview slated to commence at 10.00 am with their writing materials.
